Family Festival / Kid's Classic Race / US 10K
The US 10K Classic Race for Children in Need will be held Monday morning at Cumerberland Mall on Cobb Parkway. Register any time this weekend at the Galleria Gardens across from the Renaissance Waverly Hotel for the 10K run, 100K pro cycling, 10K women's cycling sprint, 10K inline skate, 10K wheelchair, and 10K run and walk.
The Family Festival is the Official Race Expo for the U.S. 10K Classic and is free to the public. In addition to serving one-stop-shop for all of your race needs, the Festival also features an Artists Market, huge interactive kids’ area, Kid’s Classic Races (on Saturday) plus many interactive displays, free samples and prizes, and great bargains on apparel and fitness gear. Stone Mountain
This Labor Day weekend, Stone Mountain Park honors the American spirit through a three-day celebration from September 4-6, highlighted by free concerts and extended fireworks shows. The Last Blast of Summer concert kicks off the weekend on Sept. 4. The extended fireworks display will be seen Sunday and Monday nights after the park's famed Lasershow featuring songs about working men and women.
